The route of the Alpha Motorhomes adventure
1991
The adventure begins! Christiaan Bakker establishes Alpha Motorhomes in a modest shed on the Kapelanielaan in Temse. By acquiring the import rights for the Rimor brand, he lays the foundation for what will later become a successful enterprise.
1995
The growth of Alpha Motorhomes leads to a move to a larger building, still on Kapelanielaan, but now visible from the N16. This strategic move enables the company to expand its customer base and provide a better service.
1997
The team expands with the arrival of Marc Cootmans and Patrick Verbraeken. Under the leadership of Christiaan Bakker, the company continues to flourish and grow further in the motorhome market.
1998
The range is being expanded with the Elnagh and Concorde brands, allowing Alpha Motorhomes to offer its customers an even wider choice.
2003
Marc Cootmans and Patrick Verbraeken take over Alpha Motorhomes from Christiaan Bakker. Under their leadership, the team grows to 18 employees. This year, the collaboration with the Pössl group is also started, which leads to the addition of the brands Pössl, Clever, Roadcar and Globecar to the range.
2011
Despite the global financial crisis, Alpha Motorhomes continues its growth with the purchase of the adjacent building at Kapelanielaan 13a. The expansion enables the company to serve its customers even better and sales are picking up again.
2013
The Pilote brand is added to the Alpha Motorhomes range, giving customers even more choice.
2014
The range is further expanded with the Chausson brand, a popular choice among motorhome enthusiasts.
2016
A milestone reached: Alpha Motorhomes becomes the largest distributor of Chausson in Belgium, a testament to their success and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
2019
Alpha Motorhomes further connects with the community by founding the Proximus-Alpha Motorhomes cycling team, a women's cycling team successfully sponsored by both companies.
2022
A new chapter begins with the acquisition of Alpha Motorhomes by Dominique Desrumaux and Fien Vervaeke. The company grows to 35 employees and now offers a fully equipped workshop, damage repair, a spare parts warehouse, a rental department and a shop. This year, the Le Voyageur brand will also be added to the range.
2023
It is decided to purchase a new building on Kapelanielaan. This building will be completely renovated and is scheduled to be ready in mid-2025, which offers space for further growth and innovation.
2024
Alpha Motorhomes launches a new website and re-develops its IT structure to better respond to customer expectations and the latest digital trends. This move significantly improves its online presence and customer experience.
2025
Alpha Motorhomes proudly opens a new building and an additional branch. The company continues to focus on innovation and customer focus, further strengthening their position as a market leader.
2026
As you can see, the story of Alpha Motorhomes is still being written every day and they are certainly not new to it. We cannot yet say what the future will bring, but the last word has certainly not been written yet.
